Katsande: we need to be solid at the back
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has called for Amakhosi improvement ahead of the MTN8 quarter-final clash with Free State Stars on Saturday evening.
Chiefs have had a slow start to the new Premiership season and are without a win from their two opening games against Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits.
They played a 1-1 draw against the Brazilians in their opening match and suffered a 3-1 loss to the Clever Boys in midweek games.
Katsande admitted that they gave away cheap goals in the loss to Gavin Hunt's side, but is confident of an improved performance against Ea Lla Koto at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
Katsande told Supersport: "I think we have rectified our mistakes because we gave Wits soft goals which we should have avoided.
"Going into the next game, we need to be solid at the back in order to win trophies, we need to give zero at the back and the guys are working very hard.
"We are much aware of the number of goals that we have conceded in the past two games and we need to do well in that department."
