Pirates are playing for Champions League football
Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says the club can secure CAF Champions League football next season if they beat Bidvest Wits in the league on 25 April.
With the side that finishes second in the Premiership guaranteed of taking part in the competition, Sredojevic takes the view that a victory over the unpredictable Students could see the side realise their ambition.
Currently, the Sea Robbers are seven points clear of Maritzburg United and Kaizer Chiefs in third and fourth, while still having an outside shot of chasing down leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the table.
After Bucs collected a 2-1 win over AmaZulu in a PSL encounter last Sunday, 'Micho' told SuperSport: "To be sincere, we have already reached our target for this season. Now we shall take each game as it comes. For now, we are thinking about Bidvest Wits at Orlando Stadium on the 25th.
"We shall see. We just only thinking about the next match. We’ve no right to talk about anything else.
"Good enough this win puts us one step closer to Africa in the CAF Champions League.
"So this is the target we are looking to achieve and stability in building the team to make supporters happy by playing good football. Next match is for the CAF Champions League."
